Romania vs Albania

It’s a do-or-die fixture in Lyon as Romania take on Albania with both teams hoping to keep alive any hopes of progressing to the knockout stages of Euro 2016 on Sunday.

The Albanians held their own for long spells in the opening 1-0 loss to the Swiss and then conceded late goals in a 2-0 reverse against France, but they created precious little up front in either match and will need to discover their goalscoring touch.

Romania also need to win although they have one point on the board already, but it could so easily have been two. A Bogdan Stancu penalty nearly earned them a share of the spoils against the hosts in Paris, but they were undone by a moment of genius from Dimitri Payet.

Switzerland vs France

Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka has admitted he is looking forward to facing Arsenal teammates Laurent Koscienly and Olivier Giroud when his side take on France tonight – but insists the Gunners connection will have no bearing on the Group A match.

France go into their final Euro 2016 group game with Switzerland knowing a point will be enough to see Didier Deschamps’ side top Group A while a draw for the Swiss side would also see the team qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Xhaka became an Arsenal player in May after he completed his move from German side Borussia Monchengladbach, with the 23-year-old now coming up against fellow Gunners Koscielny and Giroud in Lille – although the pair will be on the opposing side.
