Poland and Portugal will continue their race for the European Championship at Stade Velodrome in the first quarter final game of the Euro 2016.

Poland have reached their maiden EURO quarter-final and are now intent on gracing a major tournament semi-final for the first time since 1982. They had never won a EURO finals game before making it seventh time lucky against Northern Ireland in Group C. A goalless draw with Germany was impressive, paving the way for a narrow victory over Ukraine.

Poland qualified for the quarter final stage of the competition via a penalty shootout against Switzerland as the both teams held out to 1-1 stalemate after 120 minutes of action. The game recorded the first penalty shootout of 2016 edition of the tournament, and Poland came out victorious.
